Chris Stapleton performs onstage at Nashville’s Music City Center for “The 54th Annual CMA Awards” broadcast on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020 in Nashville.

Chris Stapleton brought a bare-bones, acoustic version of the title track to his upcoming album Starting Over to the 2020 CMA Awards at Nashville's Music City Center on Wednesday Night (Nov. 11) -- with a special guest helping out.

Aside from his acoustic guitar and a standing microphone, Stapleton was joined on stage only by a woman billed by CMA Awards co-host Darius Rucker as "his most beloved collaborator and wife," Morgane Stapleton. The spouses and duet partners sang in absolutely gorgeous harmony, in one of the most spellbinding performances of the night.

Stapleton is nominated in two categories at this year's CMA Awards: male vocalist of the year and music video of the year (for "Second One to Know"), losing the latter to Miranda Lambert's "Bluebird." Stapleton has won 10 CMA Awards over the course of his career, including four straight male vocalist of the year wins from 2015 to 2018.
