Reba McEntire and Thomas Rhett perform onstage during the The 54th Annual CMA Awards at Nashville’s Music City Center on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020 in Nashville.

For his performance at Wednesday night's (Nov. 11) CMA Awards, Thomas Rhett wanted to give his fans a a message of hope — and he gathered a team of country all-stars to do it.

Rhett took to the stage alongside Reba McEntire and Chris Tomlin to perform their uplifting single, "Be A Light." Standing on the stage, safely distanced from one another, the trio gave viewers some much-needed inspiration. The trio, along with Keith Urban and Lady A star Hillary Scott, released the track in March of this year as a benefit single, raising money for the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.

The group was originally meant to be joined on stage by Scott, until the singer and the rest of Lady A announced that they would not be able to attend the event due to a positive COVID-19 test from a family member. "Out of caution and love for everyone involved with the CMAs, we've decided to stay home from the awards tonight ... we'll be cheering on our friends at home like the rest of y'all! Stay safe out there," the group wrote on their Twitter.
