Country star Darius Rucker pulled double duty at the 2020 CMA Awards on Wednesday night (Nov. 11), co-hosting the ceremony with Reba McEntire as well as pulling off a smile-inducing performance of recent single “Beers and Sunshine.”

Introduced by McEntire as an artist “as talented as he is generous,” Rucker was especially relaxed onstage when digging into the first single from his upcoming solo album. Rocking a white tee and jeans, Rucker declared that “the only BS I need is beers and sunshine” -- a sentiment we all feel heartily in 2020.

“Beers and Sunshine” leads what will be Rucker’s first solo full-length since 2017’s When Was The Last Time. Last year, Rucker and the rest of Hootie & The Blowfish ended a 14-year hiatus with their album Imperfect Circle.
