Burna Boy performs for the BET Hip Hop Awards 2020.

Burna Boy dropped by the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday (Oct. 27) to perform "Monster You Made," joined by Coldplay's Chris Martin via remote vocals on the hook.

The performance was a powerful visual, with Black youth sitting at school desks wearing Black Panther uniforms (the political movement, not the movie) watching footage of people taking to the streets for the #EndSARS movement in Nigeria, which protests police brutality (a pandemic that isn't exactly new news). After Burna's tough, no-punches-pulled performance, the screen was filled with names of "just a few Nigerians killed by SARS" including Tiamiyu Kazeem, Isaac Mgbe, Ifeoma Abugu and Chibuike Anams.
