Barbra Streisand took to social media on Tuesday (Feb. 11) to congratulate Eminem on his surprise performance of "Lose Yourself" at the 2020 Academy Awards.

Sharing the rapper's own post of herself awarding the best original song Oscar to the 8 Mile track back in 2003, the Broadway legend wrote, "@eminem, I had voted for your song too! Was really looking forward to handing you the award. Next time!"

At the time, Eminem was famously absent for his historic win, with "Lose Yourself" co-writer Jeff Bass accepting the award on the rapper's behalf. Seventeen years later, the star made up for skipping the awards show by shocking the Oscars audience with a surprise performance of the song.
