Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X attend the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards at Staples Center on Jan. 26, 2020 in Los Angeles.

Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus have already triumphed in two categories at the 2020 Grammy Awards, and they've dedicated their early wins to Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, hours after they tragically lost their lives in a terrible crash.

On Sunday (Jan. 26), the Bryants were en route to a basketball practice when the helicopter they were flying in crashed into a hill in Calabasas, Calif., killing them both and the other seven people aboard. The news devastated Los Angeles and fans of the legendary Laker all over the world, with many members of the music community expressing their sadness on social media.

Those gathered for the Grammys -- which will take place at the Staples Center, where Bryant played thousands of games over the course of his 20-year career with the Lakers -- have felt the loss as well, as the premiere ceremony began with a moment of silence for Bryant.

Both Bryant and his daughter are on the minds of many passing through the awards this evening, and Cyrus has dedicated his and Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" wins (in the categories of best music video and best pop duo/group performance, so far) to them. "Sending my thoughts and prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time."

"I’d like to dedicate both to Kobe and his beautiful daughter," he wrote. "Sending my thoughts and prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time."
