Elton John and David Furnish attend the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Jan. 5, 2020 in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Elton John made an appearance on the red carpet at the 2020 Golden Globes, looking dapper in a classic black embroidered suit accessorized with a rocket pin, a bow tie and a signature pair of sunglasses.

John's "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again" from Rocketman, with lyrics by Bernie Taupin, is nominated for best original song at Sunday's (Jan. 5) awards ceremony in Beverly Hills, Calif.

During his brief pre-show chat on the red carpet, John confirmed that his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour -- with dates currently announced through the end of 2020 -- is, indeed, his farewell run on the road: "This is the last tour I'm doing," he said.

Rocketman is also nominated for best motion picture - musical or comedy, while lead actor Taron Egerton (who portrays John) is up for best performance by an actor in a motion picture - musical or comedy.

The Golden Globes will be broadcast on NBC at 8 p.m. ET Sunday night.
