Billboard's 14th annual Women in Music event is just a few weeks away from returning to Los Angeles, and Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion and Rosalía will be celebrated for their contributions to female empowerment.
Keys will be honored with the American Express Impact Award for her work with She is the Music, which she formed with Jody Gerson, Sam Kirby Yoh and Ann Mincieli. Since unveiling the organization's overall goal at last year’s Women In Music event, She is the Music has partnered with the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, Universal and Billboard; launched a Latin committee; held all-female writing camps and garnered support from festivals like All Things Go and the NMPA Songs Foundation.
Megan Thee Stallion, quickly establishing herself as a cultural icon by spearheading the "hot girl summer" trend, will receive this year's Powerhouse Award for rolling out endless hits. Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía will receive the Rising Star Award after changing the sound of today's mainstream music with her fresh flamenco-influenced pop.
