Tanya Tucker swept the country nominations for the 2020 Grammy Awards when nominations were announced on Wednesday morning (Nov. 20), receiving four nods. The country legend garnered nominations for the all-genre song of the year category as well as best country song and best country solo performance for “Bring My Flowers Now” and best country album for 2019’s While I’m Livin’.

“I wish I had a trampoline to jump on right now!” Tucker says in a statement. “This is just unbelievable. I couldn’t have done this without the fans, Brandi [Carlile] and Shooter [Jennings], and the whole Tanya Tucker Team. What’s different now more than ever is the fans on social media and streaming made this record an instant success. What just happened, I’d never, ever fathom.”

Tucker is a 14-time Grammy nominee, with her nominations spanning 47 years. She has yet to win a Grammy, but 2020 could be her year. The country singer released While I’m Livin’, her first set of new music in 17 years in August. The 10-track project is a deeply personal one for the singer. Many of the songs were penned by co-producer Carlile, who was a longtime admirer of the legend.

“They all are custom-written for me -- every song is about something in my life," Tucker told Billboard of her now Grammy-nominated project earlier this year.

“This is my first album in 17 years, so social media wasn't around to share [music] -- just bad promotion men. Everything is flip-flopped, and I'm just trying to keep up with the Joneses, the Brookses or the Underwoods,” she says. “I’ve always wanted to be heard by the world. The music's been a gift from the good Lord, and I'm honored and so appreciative of the incredible response of this record. I think it's a brand new start for some really bigger, better, greater things.”

The 62nd annual Grammy Awards will take place on Jan. 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
