Fresh off of a song of the year win for “Beautiful Crazy,” Luke Combs turned up the energy at the 2019 CMA Awards with another one of his hits, “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” on Wednesday night (Nov. 13).

Combs traded his dapper merlot suit for his trademark fishing shirt and ball cap for the performance, which featured his full band and a neon backdrop complete with a giant beer can that had “Luke” emblazoned on it. He was clearly pumped up from his win, too, bouncing around the stage as he belted out every note in the rowdy track.

The singer had everyone on their feet during his colorful, electric performance, particularly Keith Urban and his wife, Nicole Kidman, who were caught jamming several times as Combs sang.

Along with song of the year, Combs is also up for male vocalist of the year and musical event of the year for his duet with Brooks & Dunn on their hit “Brand New Man” (though the latter award went to Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ smash “Old Town Road (Remix)”).
