Ne-Yo Discusses Practicing His Spanish for Pitbull Collaboration Ahead of Latin AMAs: Watch

Ne-Yo stopped to speak with Billboard’s Leila Cobo on the red carpet at the Latin AMAs on Thursday (Oct. 17), discussing his new collaboration with Putbull, Lenier and El Micha.

Speaking of how the collaboration “Me Quedaré Contigo” came together, Ne-Yo tells Billboard, “It’s a quality record. Shout out to Lenier, it was his record first. We basically took it and kind of remixed it, trying to bring it over here.”

“Shout out to Pibtull for calling me and making me a part of it,” he adds. “We’re gonna get on stage tonight and we’re gonna bring the house down.”

Asked if he’s been practicing his Spanish a lot in preparation, Ne-Yo’s wife Crystal Renay Williams replies, “He was really practicing for the video and the song and everything. He did his research. He did his homework. I’m proud of you…And now he thinks he speaks Spanish!”
