Zac Brown Band brought a mighty version of their EDM-influenced new single "Someone I Used to Know" to the stage of Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday night (June 5) for the 2019 CMT Music Awards.

With Jimmy de Martini beginning the song by finger-picking his fiddle like a banjo, the full band eventually launched into the single -- likely to be found on the group's upcoming sixth album, expected later this year. Not to be confused with Gotye and Kimbra's similarly titled Billboard Hot 100-topping smash from earlier in the decade, the song deals with fallen heroes and wasted potential rather than heartbreak, and features a chorus drop that would be the envy of most big-tent DJs.

"Someone I Used to Know" was a nominee (though not a finalist) for video of the year at this year's ceremonies, and is still up for group video of the year. The song reached a peak of No. 41 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week, after 14 weeks on the listing.
