Little Big Town and Thomas Rhett kicked off the 2019 CMT Music Awards on Wednesday night (June 5) with a performance of their high-energy collab "Don't Threaten Me With a Good Time," and as expected, it was a good time.

Decked out in metallic outfits, the group took the stage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and the crowd couldn't help but shake along to the infectious melody. To add to the song's funkiness, New Orleans' own Troy “Trombone” Shorty added some brass to the performance and some jazz into the mix.

This won't be the last fans see Little Big Town tonight: The trio is hosting the ceremony for the second year in a row. Other performers lined up for the 2019 CMT Music Awards include Keith Urban, Carrie  Underwood, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Tanya Tucker, Kelsea Ballerini and Dan + Shay.
