Paula Abdul Closes 2019 Billboard Music Awards With Show-Stopping Medley

Paula Abdul closed out the 2019 Billboard Music Awards with a simple reminder: over the course of her pop career, she has collected a handful of truly timeless hit singles.

On the same day that she announced an upcoming Las Vegas residency, Abdul flaunted her stage command and impressive catalog in at the city's MGM Grand Garden Arena with a choreo-heavy medley of "Straight Up," "The Way You Love Me," "Vibeology," "Opposites Attract," "Cold Hearted" and finally "Forever Your Girl."

During the performance, Abdul strolled through the arena audience, tossed off a bowler hat, leapt into the arms of a slew of dancers, and was lovingly dragged across the stage.

As the 2019 BBMAs came to a close, Abdul looked positively glowing as the Vegas crowd continued dancing under the shower of confetti. No doubt they enjoyed the MC Skat Kat cameo as much as the home audience.

“I love telling stories through music and dance, and engaging with the audience,” the pop star and former American Idol judge said earlier while announcing her Paula Abdul: Forever Your Girl residency at Flamingo Las Vegas. “I'm taking the essence of the classic choreography that has become part of my legacy and I want to have a real experience with the audience so they leave knowing me a bit more.”

Abdul's residency begins on Aug. 13, and the first leg features 20 dates. Check out more details here.
