On Tuesday (April 30) in Las Vegas, Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie received the Key to the City, in recognition of his outstanding achievements in music.
Presented by Las Vegas Commissioner Jim Gibson, Urie was honored on the eve of his band’s two performances at the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday (May 1) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. The singer joins artists like Elvis Presley, Madonna and Britney Spears who received the honor before him.
Urie has celebrated his Vegas roots throughout his career, from recording the Grammy-nominated band’s Pretty.Odd. album at The Palms hotel to countless videos and photo shoots in his hometown.
