Elisabeth Moss was in for a surprise on the 2019 Golden Globes red carpet. The actress, nominated for her work on The Handmaid's Tale, received a personal video message from apparent superfan Taylor Swift.

"Hey, it's Taylor," Swift began in the video, which aired during E!'s red carpet broadcast Sunday night (Jan. 6). "I just wanted to do this video as a shout-out to Elizabeth and to say thank you so much for saying in an interview that you listened to my music when you were shooting 'Handmaid's Tale' because I'm a huge fan. I'm obsessed with the show."

Swift added: "When I heard that, it literally was like a day that like all my friends and my mom called me to tell me that you said that because they know how much I love the show. So I just want to wish you good luck tonight. I hope you have the most amazing Golden Globes night. Would love to meet you someday. I just wanted to say thank you."

Moss, who's up for the award for best performance by an actress in a television series - drama at this year's ceremony, seemed thrilled by the shout-out. "Oh my gosh, that's amazing!" she reacted. "I can't believe she even knows who I am!"
