Queen Latifah is 'Filled with Joy' Over Mary J. Blige's Oscar Nominations

Timbaland congratulated Mary for making history with her double nod.

On Tuesday morning (Jan. 23) the nominations for the 90th Annual Academy Awards were revealed and among the numerous nods that honor the best of the best in the film industry were two for R&B icon, Mary J. Blige

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Florence Jackson in the 2017 period drama Mudbound and for her work on the song “Mighty River” from the film, she made history by becoming the first person ever to be nominated for an acting performance and an original song in a single year.

Blige, who referred to the double nominations as “beautiful” and “really special," wasn’t the only one floored by the prestigious honor as numerous other celebrities chimed in on Twitter to share their reactions. Take a look below:
