Josh Groban led a lively performance of a medley from the Broadway hit Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812, which was nominated for 12 awards

Sunday's crowd in New York City's Radio City Music Hall and CBS viewers saw Groban alongside co-stars Denée Benton, Lucas Steele and company of The Great Comet in a high-kicking saloon party with renditions of "Dust and Ashes" and "The Abduction" among other songs.

Touted by presenter Keegan-Michael Key as "rock, pop, soul, folk, electronic dance music and classic Broadway," the show is based on a 70-page section of Leo Tolstoy's Russian novel War and Peace.

The multi-platinum artist made his Broadway debut as the titular character Pierre. Groban will be leaving the role behind with a final bow on July 2. He will be succeeded by Hamilton star, Okieriete “Oak” Onaodowan.
