The singer's velvety vocals and bright eyes were just enough to have everyone swaying along to the optimistic song. "I believe you love who you love / Ain't nothing you should ever be ashamed of / I believe this world ain't half as bad as it looks / I believe most people are good," he sings on the chorus. But his band and the main stage's dimly lit setting added another cozy layer to the performance. "Most People Are Good" is lifted from Bryan's sixth album What Makes You Country, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon its release last December.
The song itself was a success in its own right, marking the superstar's 20th No. 1 single (as tonight's ACM Awards host Reba McIntire happily pointed out prior to his performance). It peaked at the top spot on the Billboard Country Airplay chart back in March.
