Carrie Underwood Turns 2019 ACM Awards Into a Vegas Pool Party With 'Southbound' Performance: Watch

Carrie Underwood's high-energy performances have become her signature at this point, and the star brought all the pizazz with her live debut of "Southbound" at the 54th annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday (April 7).

Rather than beginning her performance on stage, Underwood, who's up for female artist of the year, decided to break the ceremony's standard mold and kick things off with a fun pool party atop the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Rocking a colorful AMEN blouse and matching mini skirt set adorned with sequins and tassels, the singer kept the summer vibes going as she brought the party onto the big stage.

There were plenty of adorable details throughout the performance, from the confetti to the beach balls, but the best part goes to Underwood sneaking in a quick smooch with husband Mike Fisher as she walked through the audience.

"Southbound" is featured on Carrie's sixth album Cry Pretty.
