Phoebe Bridgers’ performance Tuesday night (Oct. 12) on Jimmy Kimmel Live was literally out of this world.

The indie-pop icon appeared on late-night TV for an alternative rendition of “Moon Song,” from her 2020 album Punisher.

Performing on a foggy stage, surrounded by vintage computers and with the moon as a backdrop, Bridgers took us on a journey.

For this moment, Bridgers donned NASA kit and stripped the music down to acoustic guitar and violin, for a tight and emotional effect.

The California artist made headlines earlier this week when her performance at Austin City Limits was inexplicably cut short, which led to her tweeting “lol f*** acl” on Saturday.

The festival has since offered Bridgers an apology, blaming “miscommunication on stage by ACL Festival personnel,” which she accepted.

There were no such miscommunications when she performed on Kimmel.
