Lil Nas X is basking in the praise he's receiving from his peers. Following the release of his debut album, Montero, musicians have publicly congratulated the "Industry Baby" rapper on the project, with Lizzo being one of his most recent supporters.

On Monday (Sept. 27), Lizzo hopped on Twitter to extend a big congratulatory message to Lil Nas, and told him he should celebrate Montero's success, which has spawned three Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hits with "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)," "Industry Baby" and "That's What I Want." Eight other songs from Lil Nas' debut hit the Hot 100 chart, while the album entered the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200.

"CONGRATULATIONS TO @LilNasX!!!!" Lizzo tweeted. "#MONTERO IS BEAUTIFUL, HEARTFELT & NECESSARY… 3 TOP 10s AND A #2 DEBUT IS A BIG DEAL YOU SHOWED US HOW TO INNOVATE AND BE TRUE TO OURSELVES -- I HOPE UR HAVING CHAMPAGNE TODAY -- CELEBRATE YOURSELF YOU DESERVE IT IM SO PROUD OF YOU."

Lil Nas seemed overcome with emotion in his response to the "Rumors" singer. "@lizzo oh my god u did not have to congratulate me! thank you so much lizzo i’m tearing up fr," he wrote, along with several hearts and a teary-eyed face emoji.

Lizzo previously supported Lil Nas' album in a NSFW tweet when Montero first dropped on Sept. 17. She wrote at the time, "never been a fan of lil nas but this new project he released has me literally p---ing, s----ing, and c---ing." Lil Nas found the singer's tweet hilarious, and responded, "LMFAOOOO I LOVE U."
