Luke Bryan makes an in-studio appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” airing May 4th, 2021.

May the fourth be with you, but Luke [Bryan], you are not the father of Maren Morris' baby. He denied the rumors while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday (May 4).

While discussing his upcoming five-part mini docuseries Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary, which is currently in development and slated to air on IMDb TV, DeGeneres jokingly expressed her disappointment that he didn't document the rumored development of his parenting journey. Although Morris and her husband, Ryan Hurd, welcomed their first child together on May 23, 2020, fans still weren't 100% sold on who the father was a whole year later -- and neither was Bryan's own mother.

"So I'm having coffee, and my mother calls me. And she goes, 'I'm sitting here reading some gossip thing ...' And then she goes, 'It says you fathered Maren Morris' child.' And I'm like, 'Oh my gosh. I do not need this today,'" Bryan recalled of their phone call. "So my current single that's out now, 'Waves,' was written by Maren's husband Ryan Hurd. And I shared it from my mother straight to Ryan. And I said, 'Buddy, I think we need to talk.'"

Then the 44-year-old country singer looked right into the camera and set the record straight, claiming once and for all, "I am not the father. We can call Maury Povich in or however you want to go about it."

Morris took to Twitter to express her gratitude, sharing the daytime talk show segment and writing, "Thanks for clearing this one up @LukeBryanOnline @RyanHurd."
