Zac Brown Band Using Widget to Help U.S. Troops

Zac Brown Band has partnered with Ram Truck Brand for "Letters for Lyrics," a campaign which hopes to send 1 million letters to U.S. soldiers overseas. By clicking this online widget, fans can write a letter to a U.S. soldier in exchange for a special CD called "Breaking Southern Ground," which features three new songs by Zac Brown Band. The campaign precedes the release of the group's sophomore album, "You Get What You Give," on Sept. 21.

Trey Songz Plays New Tracks on Ustream

During a live webcast on Ustream this afternoon, Trey Songz previewed new songs from his forthcoming album "Passion, Pain and Pleasure," due out Sept. 14. The R&B singer also spent the hour-long online broadcast calling fans from his Cincinnati hotel room and asking what their "passion" in life was.

T.I.'s Wife Tweets Post-Arrest

Following her arrest alongside husband T.I. for drug possission early today (Sept. 2), Tameka "Tiny" Cottle took to Twitter to show appreciation toward her supporters. "Thank you [to everyone that's] been leaving encouraging messages and prayers!" Tiny writes. The couple was released from jail this afternoon, and Tiny tweeted that she is glad to be in "a nice clean bed".

Jennifer Lopez and 'American Idol': On Again?

In what's shaping up to be the most anti-climactic announcement ever, Jennifer Lopez is reportedly in the "final stages" of negotiating her deal to be a judge on "American Idol." Rumor had it that talks between Lopez and reality TV behemoth fell through when the singer's contractual demands got "out of hand," but a source now says the negotations were actually "typical" and that a deal could be finalized next week. Lady Gaga Crosses Six Million Twitter Followers

Lady Gaga has earned her six millionth follower on Twitter, making her the first celebrity to cross the milestone. Earlier today, the pop star used the hash tag "#gaga6million" and asked, "Where's all my #twittermonsters?" Last month, Gaga surpassed Britney Spears as the most followed person on the site.

Radiohead Fan-Made Concert Movie Available for Download

A Radiohead concert film shot by fans last year has been made available for free download. Entitled "Live in Praha," the film was compiled by edited footage from over 50 fans, who used Flip phones to capture Thom Yorke and co. performing at VýstavištÄ› Holešovice Exhibition Hall in Prague on August 23, 2009. Radiohead provided the DIY filmmakers with the audio from the show to help complete the project. ( Pitchfork)

Nicki Minaj Making Solo TV Debut Before VMAs

Fast-rising rapper Nicki Minaj will perform on TV for the first time as a solo artist on the pre-show of the MTV Video Music Awards, according to MTV. Along with performing "Your Love" prior to the Sept. 12 ceremony, Minaj will begin a Twitter contest on Sept. 7 in which 10 fans will earn seats to her pre-show performance. (MTV)
