Following the killing of Daunte Wright on Sunday (April 11) in Brooklyn Center, Minn., artists are looking for effective ways to mobilize their fans' support for his family, and indie rocker Phoebe Bridgers thinks she's found one.
On Monday (April 12), Bridgers took to her Twitter to encourage fans to donate money to Wright's son and girlfriend -- Daunte Jr. and Chyna Whitaker -- retweeting an infographic containing CashApp information for donations. The "Kyoto" singer decided to make her fans an offer in order to get more of them to donate to Wright's family.
"I’ve been seeing some people on here who want tattoos in my handwriting ... if you donate here I’ll write whatever you want," she wrote. "Comment a screenshot of your donation (not the dollar amount I don’t want anyone to be embarrassed about how much or how little they can give) and what you want me to write."
