In a new interview with TMZ Live, Demi Lovato spoke about DMX's recent overdose, addressing both artists' histories with drug addiction.
"Anytime that I see somebody OD or even pass away that's in the public eye, I immediately think, 'That could've been you had you not been putting all this work in the last couple of years of your life,'" she said. "There's times where I've even talked about feeling survivor's guilt because you do ask yourself, 'Why am I still here, and why are others not?'"
DMX was rushed to the hospital last Friday after experiencing a heart attack that was triggered by a drug overdose. The 50-year-old rapper's friends and family gathered outside the New York hospital where he remains on life support Monday night for a prayer vigil.
