It's been more than 10 years since singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten shared her fan-favorite album Epic with the world. Now, she wants to celebrate those 10 years with some help from her friends.

On Thursday (March 4), Van Etten announced her upcoming project Epic Ten, an anniversary album where a bevy of very talented guests will reinterpret each of the seven songs off of her 2010 album. Joining her for the special covers album are stars such as Fiona Apple, Courtney Barnett, Shamir, Lucinda Williams, IDLES, St. Panther and Big Red Machine (Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner).

To get fans excited, Van Etten shared Big Red Machine's cover of "A Crime," in which Dessner plugs in the acoustic song, throwing fuzzy guitars and a driving drumbeat into the mix, all to bolster Vernon's signature haunting vocals. “Sharon is one of my favorite songwriters and I've been very lucky to get to collaborate with her many times over the years," Dessner said of the new release. "Recording ‘A Crime’ with Justin ... it felt like coming full circle. It's an honor to be able to pay tribute to Sharon and her incredible songs. We felt like the door should be about to fall off the hinges of this version and I think it sounds like that."

Along with the album, Van Etten is also releasing Epic Ten: The Documentary and Concert (streaming via NoCap on April 16 and 17), in which Van Etten goes behind the scenes of making the original album, followed by a concert where she and her band "perform epic in its entirety" from indie venue Zebulon LA, which will earn profits from the stream.

Epic represents a crossroads for me as an artist -- going from intern to artist at Ba Da Bing, from solo folk singer to playing with a band for the first time and beginning to play shows on tour where people showed up," Van Etten said of the new project in a statement. "I am in awe of the artists who wanted to participate in celebrating my anniversary and reissue, from young inspiring musicians, to artists who took me under their wing, who I met on tour, and to artists I’ve looked up to since I was a teenager. Each one of these artists continue to influence my writing and provide a sense of camaraderie during this new era of sharing music.”

Epic Ten is due out digitally April 16, and physically on June 11 via Ba Da Bing. Check out Big Red Machine's cover of "A Crime" and the album's tracklist below:
