The Filipino band rules the January 2021 tally.

Sponge Cola crowns Billboard’s Top Facebook Live Videos chart for the first time via a Jan. 22 livestream to the band’s account, ruling the January 2021-dated ranking.

The chart, the latest of which recaps January 2021 activity, is a monthly look at the widest reaching and most-reacted-to videos posted by musicians on Facebook Live, as tracked by media analytics company Shareablee. Rankings are determined by a formula that blends reactions, comments, shares and first-seven-days views.

For a while now, the Philippines-based Sponge Cola has been performing on livestreams on its Facebook, with previous livestreamed concerts reaching past Top Facebook Live Videos charts such as the October 2020-dated edition.

The latest concert nabbed the group 1.1 million views in its first seven days, the only such upload to do so among artists that month, and also led all musician-uploaded streams in comments (71,000) and shares (21,000), according to Shareablee.

Sponge Cola edges out a Jan. 10 video from Ricardo Montaner, who ruled the December 2020 tally. The 17-minute video finds Montaner and his collaborators on the song “Amen,” featuring family members Mau y Ricky, Evaluna Montaner and Camilo, discussing the tune, which has peaked thus far at No. 17 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Airplay chart.
