Pink's 'Raise Your Glass' Surges Up the Charts
P!nk's new single, "Raise Your Glass," makes a toast-worthy blast on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, surging 51-11 and building anticipation for her "Greatest Hits...So Far!!!" album.
"Raise Your Glass" marks P!nk's 20th Hot 100 chart entry dating to her arrival in 2000. With the song's rise to No. 11, an advance of one more spot would mark her 10th top 10, tying her with Ashanti for third-most top 10s among women since 2000. In that span, only Rihanna (16 top 10s) and Beyonce (14) have more.
The song also claims dual airplay and digital gainer honors on the Hot 100, courtesy of a 42-16 vault on Radio Songs (44.5 million impressions, up 66%, according to Nielsen BDS) and a 59-6 charge on Digital Songs (129,000 downloads sold, up 392%, according to Nielsen SoundScan). The cut's digital sum is P!nk's best since "So What" sold 208,000 on the Jan. 10, 2009, chart.
On Pop Songs, "Raise Your Glass" bounds 34-17, also with Greatest Gainer honors. Up 2,281 plays, the song logs the format's largest weekly increase since Eminem's "Just Lose It" improved by 2,740 plays in the Oct. 9, 2004, issue. Since 2000, only two other titles have registered loftier one-week gains: 'N Sync's "Pop" (up 2,784, June 2, 2001) and Janet Jackson's "All for You" (up 2,353, March 17, 2001).
The artist born Alecia Moore could also soon reclaim solo ownership of most Adult Pop Songs No. 1s among female artists, as "Raise Your Glass" roars 34-19 as the chart's Greatest Gainer.
P!nk's "Greatest Hits…So Far!!!" is due Nov. 16.
