Olivia Rodrigo attends the premiere of Disney+'s 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' at Walt Disney Studio Lot on Nov. 1, 2019 in Burbank, Calif.

Olivia Rodrigo takes pole position in the race for the U.K. No. 1, though she faces a strong challenge from another teen, The Kid Laroi.

Rodrigo’s international smash “Drivers License” is chasing a third successive week atop the Official U.K. Singles Chart, and it’s off to the best possible start. “Drivers” charges ahead to lead the First Look chart, which measures the most popular tracks based on the weekend’s sales and streaming activity.

Australian rapper The Kid Laroi is poised for his highest-ever chart position as “Without You” lifts 5-2 on the chart blast, equaling his best on the sales tally in his homeland.

After the first 48 hours in the chart week, the strongest debut belongs to TikTok star Nathan Evans with his sea shanty debut single “Wellerman.”

The 26-year-old Scotsman made quite a buzz when video of his traditional sea shanty went viral on TikTok, and landed him a record deal with Polydor. Now, he’s quit his job as a quit as postman and he’s eyeing a U.K. hit single, his first.

“Wellerman” is the most downloaded song of the week so far, according to the Official Charts Company, and it’s the No. 4 ranked song on the First Look chart, just behind Little Mix’s “Sweet Melody.”

The Official U.K. Singles Chart is published late Friday local time.
