Metallica Headlines 'Call of Duty: Black Ops' Launch Event, Honors U.S. Armed Forces
Metallica headlined the launch event for the Activision "Call of Duty: Black Ops" video game last night (Nov. 4) at the Hangar 8 in Santa Monica, Calif. In honor of the event, Activision raised $1 million for the Call of Duty Endowment, which helps soldiers transition to civilian life by providing them with job training and placement. Activision also pledged 1,000 jobs for currently unemployed soldiers. "Call of Duty: Black Ops" will be available from retailers Nov. 9.
48 Bottles of Champagne Ready to Go for Lil Wayne Miami Strip Club Party
Lil Wayne celebrate his prison release in style this weekend (Nov. 6-7). The rapper has four dozen bottles of PJ Rose Perrier-Jouët champagne -- at $700 a pop - purchased and ready to go for his release party to take place at Miami's King of Diamonds. The venue is a 50,000-ft. strip club equipped with a shoe shining station, basketball court and fine dining. Fellow Young Money crew rappers Drake, Nicki Minaj and Baby are also expected to be in attendance. (TMZ)
Mariah Carey, Susan Boyle, Josh Groban to Play Christmas in Rockefeller Center Special
NBC confirmed Wednesday (Nov. 3) that Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crow, Josh Groban, Jessica Simpson, Susan Boyle, Annie Lennox, Katherine Jenkins, Charice, Kyle Minogue and "America's Got Talent" runner-up Jackie Evancho are slated as performers for the 13th Annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center special. Natalie Morales and Al Roker from "The Today Show" will host the event, which will air on NBC at 9 p.m. on Nov. 30. (THR)

Although artists generally utilize their Twitter accounts as a way to connect with fans, P!nk recently tweeted in order to keep fans away -- or at least away from her home. A frustrated P!nk reported that fans had been coming to her L.A. home, saying yesterday (Nov. 4) via Twitter, "It is NEVER OKAY 2 ring someone's doorbell and ask them for a picture or an autograph. Why people don't know this truly boggles my mind. 4th time this week. Seriously?" (@pink)
Kanye West Reveals Five Album Covers for 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'
On Kanye West's UStream impromptu video interview yesterday (Nov. 4), the rapper revealed all five different covers for his upcoming album, "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." Besides showing off the album's packaging on the UStream, 'Ye talked about the experience of working with some of his idols, as well as the next release he has planned with Jay-Z, titled "Watch The Throne." "There are a couple of surprises on there, believe it or not, even with people trying their best to leak it," Kanye said. (UStream)
Gwyneth Paltrow to Cover Rihanna's 'Umbrella' on 'Glee'
As previously reported, Gwyneth Paltrow will guest star on the Nov. 16th episode of "Glee," playing the role of a substitute teacher, to sing Cee Lo Green's saucy hit "F**k You." Confirmed today for Paltrow's setlist is also a combination of Rihanna's "Umbrella" and the classic hit "Singin' in the Rain." ( E!)
