Dakota Johnson Got 'Stage Fright' While Singing in Front Of Others on Movie Set: 'So Terrifying'

"They hit playback of my vocal recording and called action. It was like I had a panic attack that manifested in all the ways that it does, that it can," said Johnson, who dialed in from home. "I just took off running, running around this theater, around backstage and I was running around and then just started laughing hysterically. Everyone on the crew was like, 'What is she doing?' Running around, laughing, and then stopped moving and started crying."

Johnson -- the daughter of actor and sometimes singer Don Johnson and actress Melanie Griffith -- has appeared in more than two dozen films since making her big screen debut in 1999 at age 10 with a small role in mother Melanie's film Crazy in Alabama. But even she could not explain why her singing debut created such agita.

"I got so scared," she said when asked why she freaked. "It was like extreme flight mode."

Johnson also discussed how she makes playlists for "everything," from certain moods and times of year to road trips, dinner parties and to accompany her characters in movies. She even imagined what songs she'd pick on a road trip with Jimmy, including the soundtrack to their bathroom break. "Waiting on a Friend" by the Rolling Stones, of course.
