Toni Cornell has remembered her late dad Chris with a touching tribute and resurfaced a cover of his Temple of the Dog song "Hunger Strike," a recording she made for a good cause.
Last April, at the age of just 15, Toni performed the song for "Music Lives," which benefited the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund in support of those in the music industry that lost their livelihoods to the health crisis.
“‘Hunger Strike’ was released 30 years ago today,” she writes in an Instagram post, shared Thursday (Jan. 14). “It’s not only one of the most iconic songs of all time but one of my personal favorites. I recorded it for Music Lives to raise money for covid relief in April 2020 and in tribute to my dad who would have been the first to do everything he could to help.”
