When Olivia Rodrigo isn't busy being a record-breaking pop star with her debut single "Drivers License," she's catching the attention of one of the world's biggest pop stars, Taylor Swift.
The 17-year-old singer-songwriter and self-proclaimed "biggest Swiftie in the whole world" told Apple Music's Zane Lowe on Thursday (Jan. 14) about being woken up by a phone call telling her to check Instagram and how she "just about died" when she saw the "Willow" singer's comment on her massive success.
"I was dead asleep and my friend called me on the phone and I was like, 'Oh my God, it's 6 a.m. Can I call you back in two hours?' And he's like, 'No. Absolutely not. Check your Instagram right now,'" she recalled. "And in the grogginess of my sleep, I checked my phone and she commented on my photo and I just about died ... just about died. Literally, I've looked up to her as long as I can remember, so it was so sweet of her to do that."
