Nick Carter happily announced on Wednesday (Jan. 13) that he and his wife, Lauren Kitt, are expecting their third child after she suffered multiple miscarriages.
"Sometimes life blesses you with little surprises," Carter wrote underneath the Instagram video of the sonogram while tagging Kitt. The Backstreet Boys member and his wife exclusively told People about just how surprised they were by the news after they previously settled on having two children, their 4-year-old son Odin Reign and their 1-year-old daughter Saoirse Reign. The actress didn't know she was pregnant until she was five-and-a-half months along, and even thought she might have a tumor because being pregnant was the last thing she expected.
"I didn't have any symptoms; I didn't have anything indicating that I was pregnant," she said. "One day I just -- I felt something move in my body and I said, 'Nick, there's something not right. I think I need to go to the doctor. Something's wrong with me.' I was not supposed to be able to have any more children, so I never assumed that I was pregnant."
