Fans Pick Zayn's 'Vibez' As This Week's Favorite New Music

Zayn is starting out the new year with a big win! The singer came out on top over Taylor Swift in this week's new music poll.

Music fans voted in a Billboard poll published on Jan. 8, selecting the former One Directioner's comeback tune, "Vibez," as their favorite music release of the week.

The song, the second from his upcoming third studio album -- Nobody Is Listening -- which he announced the same day, follows "Better" from September. It earned an impressive nearly 70% of the vote. Zayn also dropped a video for "Vibez" Friday.

Coming in second place with a smidge over 24% was Taylor Swift's "Right Where You Left Me" and "It's Time to Go." Both songs were released as part of the deluxe edition of her surprise December album Evermore. The tunes were previously available only on the album's CD and vinyl versions. Like Zayn, Swift also released videos with the songs, though they were meditative lyric clips.

In third place -- not counting "other," which snagged 2.28% -- was "Best Friend," Saweetie's collab with Doja Cat. The song, the first big collaboration of 2021, earned 1.29% of the vote.
