Brandy Eliminated From 'Dancing With the Stars'

POTW: Christina Aguilera, Jay-Z, Pink, Lil Wayne

Brandy, unaware that she would get voted off "Dancing With the Stars" minutes later, appears gleeful while partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy looks doubtful.

Brandy was eliminated in another surprising results show on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" last night (Nov. 16).

Adding to the controversial results is that teen activist Bristol Palin will be advancing to the finals, despite landing in last place on the judges' leader board for the majority of the season. Palin has aligned her luck to relating to audiences at home since she is not a natural-born entertainer. At the top of the show, "DWTS" host Tom Bergeron announced that this results show had received more votes than any other previous "Dancing" semi-finals.

The singer was the last celebrity to be eliminated from the show before the season's finale next week. Brandy is the third celebrity this season, after "The Hills" reality star Audrina Patridge and former NBA player Rick Fox, to score at the top of the leader board but still be sent home due to a lack of audience votes. Brandy's elimination was extra surprising because the singer landed her first perfect score of the season on Monday's (Nov. 15) performance show with her elegant Argentine Tango.

Brandy was a favorite to go to the season's finale and compete against actress Jennifer Grey for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy since the two have been neck and neck in scoring all season. In her pre-results video package, Brandy said she believed that she and partner Maksim Chmerkovsky deserved to be in the final because they had worked the hardest to get there. The singer had to hold back tears when it was announced that she would be going home.

Actress Jennifer Grey and Disney star Kyle Massey will join Palin in next week's "Dancing with the Stars" finale, which airs Monday (Nov. 22) at 8 p.m. ET on ABC with results to be revealed on Tuesday (Nov. 23) at 9 p.m. ET.
