This week's new music releases made artists switch "Positions" from pop star to the president and from featured artist to main singer.

Hours after the final presidential debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, Ariana Grande seized control of the White House with a music video for her new single "Positions." The song proves her indomitable force as a pop star in 2020 while peeling back more layers to her vulnerability by confessing she's doing everything in her power to make her relationship work.

Ty Dolla $ign explained how he was "blessed with the gift of collaborating" and named his third studio album Featuring Ty Dolla $ign to symbolize his ability to work with artists across the board on R&B slow jams to "raunchy club bangers." So he recruited his own legion of featured artists, including Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Skrillex, Kehlani, Thundercat, FKA Twigs and many more.
