Now in its 11th year, ONE Musicfest, the Southeast’s largest annual urban progressive music festival, is creating a virtual political pep rally and music festival to enact its longtime mission of unity through music.

Set for Nov. 1 and simulcast on the One Musicfest, RevoltTV and the Roots’ YouTube platforms, the “pre-party to the polls” is a three-hour digital celebration of the festival’s rich history and culture, and a push toward civic responsibility reminding fans to exercise their democratic right to vote.

ONE Musicfest is being held in partnership with Live Nation Urban, RevoltTV, Michelle Obama’s nonpartisan, nonprofit When We All Vote. Starting today and continuing throughout the event, there will be a call to action for fans and viewers to register to vote at whenweallvote.org/onemusicfest.

ONE Musicfest and Stacey Abram’s Fair Fight initiatives, as well as the new black college fundraising app, HBCU Change. This year ONE Musicfest will feature performances by some of the hottest names in R&B and hip-hop, as well as some of the best performances of the fest’s past decade from artists including Wu-Tang Clan, T.I., The Roots, Ari Lennox, Jill Scott, H.E.R., DMX, KP the Great featuring Pharrell, Usher and more.

For more than a decade, ONE Musicfest has maintained its place at the forefront of the culture as a platform for timeless icons and explosive upstarts alike. It has notably played host to everyone from Kendrick Lamar to Nas, Miguel, 2 Chainz, and George Clinton. Not to mention, it regularly attracts plaudits from USA Today, Billboard, Consequence of Sound, Rolling Stone, and more in addition to trending across the Internet.

"For 10 years ONE Musicfest has always figured out a way to integrate entertainment, purpose and community," says J Carter, founder of ONE Music fest. "Although the live music industry has been totally uprooted this year, with the support and partnership of Live Nation Urban, RevoltTV, When We All Vote and HBCU Change, we plan to still hit all of our marks. With the most important election of our time fast approaching, we had to make sure to do our part."

"Since we started Live Nation Urban a few years back, I have been stalking J Carter and the One Music Fest team to figure out how to work together," adds Shawn Gee, president of Live Nation Urban. "Like other partnerships in our portfolio like The Roots Picnic and Broccoli City, One Music Fest is a slice of culture, a unique safe space for hip hop and R&B culture to be incubated and to be celebrated. We are looking forward to partnering with OMF, Revolt and When We All Vote and helping to raise awareness around the critical need for everyone to exercise their rights and vote in the upcoming election."
