Lana Del Rey took something of a left turn when she released Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass, a collection of poems read by the alternative pop singer with music by long-time collaborator Jack Antonoff.

Now, Del Rey has shared a performance from it, a recital of “Salamander”.

The DIY production is captured with a grainy filter, and sees Del Rey reading from a manuscript in a backyard.

The Violet audiobook is out now. Hardcover and ebook editions will include over 30 original Del Rey poems and should drop Sept. 29 via Simon & Schuster, with CDs, vinyl, picture discs and bundles landing soon after, on Oct. 2.

Before that, Del Rey will release a new album of musical works, Chemtrails over the Country Club. It’s due out Sept. 5, and is the followup to Norman F---ing Rockwell, her sixth studio album which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
