Burt Bacharach arrives at the 5th Annual Light Up the Blues Concert an Evening of Music to Benefit Autism Speaks at Dolby Theatre on April 21, 2018 in Hollywood, Calif.

Bacharach and Tashian are both multiple Grammy winners.

Burt Bacharach and Daniel Tashian will be the focus of a digital program on the Grammy Museum’s website on Wednesday (Aug. 5).

The two musicians have been working together on projects, including a five-song EP, Blue Umbrella, being released today (July 31).

Bacharach is a six-time Grammy winner, including song of the year for co-writing Dionne & Friends’ “That’s What Friends Are For” (1986). Tashian is a two-time Grammy winner, including album of the year for co-producing Kacey MusgravesGolden Hour (2018).

Toots and the Maytals, who won best reggae album for True Love (2004), will be the focus of a Aug. 24 Grammy Museum program.

Past Grammy nominees who will appear are Margo Price, The Secret Sisters, Needtobreathe and Ashley McBryde.

The museum's public programs digital series features intimate, sit-down interviews recorded via Zoom. They are conducted by Scott Goldman, moderator of the museum’s public programs. The Grammy Museum at L.A. Live in Los Angeles remains closed until further notice due to COVID-19.

The Grammy Museum will also release a digital exhibit on Aug. 7, “Rhymes & Reasons: The Music of John Denver.” Denver was a six-time host of the Grammy Awards, who, unfortunately, never won a Grammy in his lifetime. He received one posthumously in February 1998 for best musical album for children for All Aboard!—four months after he died in a private plane crash off the coast of Pacific Grove, Calif.

This month will also see the debut of Spotlight Saturdays Series, in which the Grammy Museum teams with a different label each month to highlight its new and developing acts. The museum partnered with Republic Records this month.
