This Is How You Pronounce Grimes & Elon Musk's Son's Name

Grimes and Elon Musk welcomed a baby boy earlier this week, but the couple sent the Internet into a frenzy when they revealed the child's complicated name.

The moniker, X Æ A-12, raised a lot of questions, particularly on how to pronounce it. Musk addressed the question during Thursday's (May 7) episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. He noted that "X" is pronounced like the letter, and Æ sounds like "ash."

He went on to add that A-12 was his idea. "Archangel 12, the precursor to the SR71, coolest plane ever," he explained.

The Space X boss admitted that Grimes was actually the one who "mostly came up with the name." "Yeah, she's great at names," he laughed.

One day after the baby's birth on Monday (May 4), Grimes took to Twitter to break down the name's meaning, which you can see here.
