Halsey and Marshmello

Halsey marks her returns to EDM with "Be Kind," a new collaboration with Marshmello.

The "Without Me" singer teams up with the marshmello-helmeted DJ and producer on the tune, a self-empowerment anthem which scrutinizes the extra-curricular activities of a partner.

On it, she sings: "I don't know why you hide from the one/ And close your eyes to the one/ Mess up and lie to the one that you love/ When you know you can cry to the one/ Always confide in the one/ You can be kind to the one that you love."

The new track dropped early Friday and is 'Mello's followup to "Been Thru This Before" with Southside and Saint Jhn, which arrived last month.

It feels like a lifetime since Halsey arrived in the big league via her collaboration with another EDM act The Chainsmokers, on 2016's "Closer." She released a pair of "You Should Be Sad" remixes by Tiësto and Mike Mago in March.
