Billie Joe Armstrong's latest installment of his weekly “No Fun Mondays” series was particularly emotional, as it was a tribute to the late Adam Schlesinger.

The Green Day frontman shared a cover of Schlesinger's "That Thing You Do," the Oscar-nominated song from the film of the same name directed by Tom Hanks.

"Another week, another No Fun Mondays," Armstrong wrote in the description. "Today’s song is a tribute to the late Adam Schlesinger and the incredible music he wrote including this one, 'That Thing You Do.'"

The Fountains of Wayne frontman died on April 19 at age 52 due to complications from COVID-19.
