Bob Dylan is back with “I Contain Multitudes,” his second surprise release in a month.

Dylan is in fine storytelling form on “Multitudes,” a moody, acoustic song which explores the life of a complex character who digs a bit of danger.

On it he sings, “I'm just like Anne Frank, like Indiana Jones/ And them British bad boys, The Rolling Stones/ I go right to the edge, I go right to the end/ I go right where all things lost are made good again.”

“I Contain Multitudes” is the followup to "Murder Most Foul," a nearly 17-minute song which chronicles the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. “Murder” was the first sign of original Dylan songwriting in eight years, and it gave the legendary artist his first ever No. 1 song on a Billboard chart, debuting at the top of the Rock Digital Song Sales survey dated April 11.

Unlike its predecessor, "Multitudes" clocks in at a conventional four-plus minutes.

Dylan alerted us to his new song with a social post stacked with the hot items he ticks off in his new song, from blue jeans to Beethoven and more.
