Doctors, nurses and other essential medical staff are on the frontlines of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and Jennifer Lopez is thanking them for their "heroic efforts" in a heartfelt video.

"I just want to thank all of the hospital workers the doctors, nurses and staff at New York-Presbyterian Hospital for fighting the good fight," The Bronx native says in the video shared to the hospital's social media pages on April 13. "Your heroic efforts have not gone unnoticed. We love you, we thank you, stay safe."

New York is the epicenter of the coronavirus in the United States with more than 200,000 coronavirus cases confirmed. Gov. Andrew Cuomo, along with artists like J.Lo and Romeo Santos, are encouraging New Yorkers to continue to stay home to fight the spread of the coronavirus.
