Hozier Honors Bill Withers With 'Ain't No Sunshine' During Billboard Live At-Home Concert

Hozier hosted his Billboard Live At-Home concert on Friday afternoon (April 3) to raise money for Downtown Women's Center, which focuses on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women in Los Angeles.

Going live from his bedroom with an acoustic guitar in hand, the crooner delivered fan-favorites like "To Be Alone," "Cherry Wine," "From Eden" and "Take Me to Church" with his characteristically mellifluous vocals.

Hozier also took a moment to pay tribute to the late soul legend, Bill Withers, who died earlier in the week at age 81. "Today was a sad day, sadder than normal," he began, "Bill Withers passed away, who I'm sure you're familiar with, and it's an absolute tragedy."

"He's just an absolute hero and a legend and a man whose music, and his sensibilities as well too, the whole feeling of his work has very much got into my bones at a young age," he continued, before delving into a performance of Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine."

"Isn't that a beautiful song?" he mused following the last notes.
