Selena Gomez arrives at the American Music Awards on Nov. 24, 2019, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

April 1, 2020 is Census Day in the United States, and stars are urging their fans to fill out the census forms.

In a new video uploaded by ATTN: and Census Counts, Selena Gomez, Janelle Monáe, Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Liza Koshy and more stress how crucial it is to participate.

"The 2020 Census could be the most important in our lifetimes,” Hanks says in the PSA, before Monáe adds that “It will decide how over $650 billion dollars are distributed to local communities across the country. That includes where money is distributed for things like healthcare, public schools and food stamps.”

“It’s safe, easy and it’s important,” Gomez proclaims.

According to the 2020 Census website, April 1 is considered Census Day, or “a key reference date for the 2020 Census—not a deadline.”
