Adam Schlesinger's Death Mourned by Friends & Fans

Adam Schlesinger, the songwriter known best as a member of Fountains of Wayne and Ivy and for his Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated work in TV and film, died from coronavirus complications at age 52 on Wednesday morning.

The star was undoubtedly a massive influence on the lives of fans and fellow entertainers alike, and was cherished for his work which included (among many others) Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, That Thing You Do, and of course, "Stacy's Mom."

A number of celebrities have taken to social media to mourn the loss of the prolific writer, including Jack Antonoff, Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba, Darren Criss and more.
