Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex meets Jon Bon Jovi at the Abbey Road Studios where the Invictus Games Choir are recording a special single in aid of the Invictus Games Foundation on February 28, 2020 in London.

New Jersey royalty Jon Bon Jovi and former British royal Prince Harry released their eagerly-anticipated charity single "Unbroken" on Friday (March 27), a call to arms to service and sacrifice featuring stirring backing vocals from the Invictus Games Choir.

"I was born to be of service/ Basic training felt just like home/ I had honor, I found purpose/ "Sir, yes, sir," that's what I know/ They sent us to a place/ I never heard of weeks before/ When you're 19 it ain't hard to sleep/ In the desert on God's floor," the song opens with the choir and Bon Jovi raising their voices over acoustic guitars and swirling feedback.

Recorded at London's famed Abbey Road Studios earlier this year, the track was originally released by Bon Jovi last year -- with slightly different lyrics -- as an homage to veterans struggling with PTSD. The new version featuring Harry and a dozen members of the Invictus Choir is a charity fundraiser for the Invictus Games Foundation, a charity that supports the annual Invictus Games for wounded veterans.

Bon Jovi and Harry posed for pictures on the iconic Abbey Road crosswalk when they met up for the recording session.

The New Jersey rocker also updated his effort to finish the new song "Do What You Can" with the help of fan lyrics on Thursday (March 26). In a video, Bon Jovi said he received more than 6,000 submissions in the first two days from fan after he played the first verse and asked for help with the rest. Saying he was inspired by what he's gotten so far, Bon Jovi played three entries.

"I've been listening," he said in the video. "Thank you to everyone who has shared their story. Let's keep singing this together."
